IKEA Supplier Expanding in Slovakia

The supplier of Swedish furniture retailer, IKEA known as IKEA Components is set to expand its operations in Slovakia. 

The company has said it is to expand its warehouse and packaging facility in the Malacky Industrial Zone, north of the capital Bratislava.

IKEA is on a large worldwide expansion as part of its target to double sales between 2012 and 2020. It is therefore expanding its capacity to allow for this.

Construction will take approximately one year and will begin in September. It will cost €24 million.

Plans to expand its operations at Park Zahorie, an industrial and technology zone in Slovakia are also in place for the future.

IKEA have one store in the country in Bratislava.The 21,500 square metre store was opened in 1995.
