Mercedes Looking at Slovakia for New Plant

German car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz is looking to build a car plant in Slovakia according to reports in the country.
The company is looking at a variety of locations to add to its production, which exceeded two million units cars last year world wide.
The investment for the facility that will also build Daimler engines, is said to be in excess of €1 billion.
Car manufacturing in Slovakia is growing. There are currently three major car makers in the country, with Peugeot-Citroen, Volkswagen and Kia producing there.
Jaguar-Land Rover are presently building a plant in the western city of Nitra. Mercedes Daimler’s entry would be the fifth car manufacturer to enter Slovakia.
Hungary is also in the running for the facility according to reports.
More than one million cars were produced in Slovakia in 2015.
