The Hungarian real estate sector is healthier than at any stage since the financial crisis according to sources in the industry.
The Budapest Business Journal stated that last year was an excellent year with the number of properties changing hands increasing by 20% compared to the previous year.
According to the report, approximately 135,000 properties were sold throughout the year, with 32,400 of them in the final quarter.
The highest month of the year was perhaps unsurprisingly June, with 12,355 transactions completed. The lowest was January with 9,040 property transactions being completed.
Earlier in 2015, real estate broker Duna House recorded a 59% year on year jump in real estate transaction volumes for April, making the impressive end of year statistics unsurprising.
