Theta Energy Group to Create 800 Jobs in Slovakia

American company, Theta Energy Group are to create 800 permanent jobs in Eastern Slovakia.
Economic Minister, Vazil Hudak and Finance Minister, Peter Kazimir came to the Vojany region to sign a memorandum for the redevelopment of the region’s power plant.
The investment is expected to be up to €700 million and it will create a technology park in the area as well as modernising the power plant itself.
Theta Energy Group is a company that develops solutions for waste to green energy disposal as well as developing renewable energy supply.
The power station in Vojany has been loss making for some time and is run by Slovak power utility Slovenske Elektrarne, which is 34% owned by the Slovakian state.
The Vojany region in Slovakia currently has an unemployment rate of 20%, double the national average.
