The Bratislava Castle renovation costs in Slovakia have been increased by €5 million.
The original contracted price for the works to be carried out on the castle was €21.6 million. The estimated final cost has now risen to €27 million.
They appear to have risen as a result of an under estimation of labour costs, and further works to be carried out in the protection of various sites surrounding the castle.
The Parliamentary Committee had a meeting today to detail the additional spending plans on the Bratislava Castle renovation.
The estimated date of the completion of the works at the castle is sometime in the middle of 2016.
Bratislava Castle is the primary castle of the Slovakian capital of the same name. The site dates back to the 9th century and has gone through numerous redevelopments and renovations over its history.
