The Central Bureau of Statistics in Croatia has announced that the country experienced growth of 1.2% in the second quarter of 2015, compared to the same period last year.
It is the third quarter of growth in a row for Croatia where the country had previously gone through a 6 year recession.
According to the statistics, growth in household consumption and in exports of goods and services has contributed to most of the growth.
The statistics mask the fact that, agriculture, forestry and fisheries experienced negative growth in the second quarter compared to the same period last year.
The growth rate of 1.2% was significantly higher than analysts expectations which ranged from 0.6% to 0.8%, and is also the highest of the positive numbers from the last three quarters.
