Baltic’s Largest Wind Farm Set for Estonia

Construction is due to begin next year in what will be the largest wind farm in the Baltic region.
To be located in Ida-Vira County in the Eastern part of the country, the wind farm will have 30 large turbines and produce 100 megawatts of electricity.
The large turbines will be 130 metres high with the blade’s diameters being 120 metres. The project according to Estonian media, will cost €165 million.
Good Record
Estonia already has a very good record for renewable energy. The country is already only 0.3% away from the 2020 goal of reaching 17.6%.
Of renewable energy sources in the country, 43% of this comes from wind power.
