Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko has asked the country’s Prime Minister, Arseniy Yatsenuk to resign.
Ukraine’s slow reforms have frustrated many in the country with the president saying Yatsenuk has lost the support of the coalition.
The Prime Minister has been accused of corruption with demonstrations being held outside the parliament against government policies.
Whilst problems have existed for some time, they came to a head earlier in this month when the Economy Minister, Aivaras Abromavicius resigned. He stated his reasons for doing so, were that huge quantities of government money were being diverted out.
Parliament needs to approve any decision to resign. Arseniy Yatsenuk addressed parliament on Tuesday, saying he would accept any decision it made.
