According to the latest statistics, Sweden is firmly on top as Estonia’s primary trading partner with 20% of total exports going to the country.
Exports to Lithuania and the US have increased significantly for June, compared to the same period last year.
The numbers also show that exports to Russia have perhaps unsurprisingly fallen dramatically. Russia placed sanctions on Western food products last year in response to Western led sanctions imposed on them following the annexation of Crimea.
Estonia’s three main import partners are Finland, Lithuania and Germany.
Statistics for June show Estonia exported €1 billion worth of goods and imported €1.2 billion, leaving a trade deficit of approximately €200 million.
