Polish Growth Slightly Ahead of Expectations

Polish growth in the third quarter of this year came in at 3.4% compared to the same quarter of 2014.
Analysts polled by Reuters last week, expected a growth rate at 3.3%, according to statistics released on Friday by the country’s Central Statistics Office (GUS).
The seasonally adjusted figure was a little higher at 3.6% according to the statistics.
Seasonally adjusted quarter on quarter growth in Poland stood at 0.9%.
The conservative, Law & Justice (PiS) party, last month won a majority in the country’s general election, taking power from Civic Platform who had ruled for the previous eight years.
Law & Justice have a number of plans to tax banks and foreign companies, increase social spending and lower the country’s pension age.
