Uber has announced plans to expand in Poland by increasing the number of cities it operates in.
The company announced that it is receiving 10,000 new registrations to the app every month noting it as a great success.
Currently the app operates in five cities in Poland including; Warsaw, Wraclaw, Poznan, Krakow and the tri-city of Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot.
Uber’s director in Poland Kacper Winiarczyk, said that the company has had a huge success in the country. He said that Poland is now Uber’s third largest market in Europe.
In September of last year, hundreds of Polish taxi drivers caused tailbacks in Warsaw to protest the controversial app.
2,000 drivers drove around the city at a slow pace before converging around the parliament in the city centre.
